The Runyon Rascals program will be open before school at 6:30am through 8:20am and after school from 3:13pm through 6:00pm. On non-student days and during the summer, the program will be open from 6:30am until 6:00pm. The Runyon Rascals program focuses on child-centered care, which compliments the school day experience of Runyon students. Activities promote the develpment of helathy and age appropriate leaisure time pursuits and vary with number, ages and interest of participation children. Children learn to function cooperately and positively with one another.

A typical day includes transition between the regular school day and school age care. This is provided through opportunities for sharing with friends and afternoon snack. Structured activities in small groups feature arts and crafts, supervised free play, computer lab, outside play, gym activities, videos and field trips. Time for individual pursuits, such as recreational reading and completion of homework assignments is also provided.
