The Work Family Connection at Millington School

Welcome to the year 2012! Can you believe we have been in school for 4 months already? Boy, this year has gone fast. I remember welcoming you all into school on the very first day. Some of you were brought here by your parents, some rode the bus and some even walked to school. We had a great start to the 2011-2012 school year.

Do you remember how anxious you were to meet your teacher and see who was in your class? The very first week of school your teacher reviewed the procedures of the classroom and made sure that you felt welcomed. As the weeks went on, you settled into your routine and began to grow in so many ways. Well, now we are in January. The academic lessons are moving along a bit faster and at a higher level. I am sure you have noticed that the concepts learned in math are more challenging. I am also sure you are using some very difficult vocabulary words which your teachers have reviewed with you. I am so excited to see you stretch your minds and take on all of those academic challenges that keep coming your way. This year we have implemented the Weekly Character Trait. I am hearing from your teachers that you listen to the trait read every Monday. They have reported to me that they see you trying to put that trait into practice. Keep up the good work of making sure that Millington School is a safe school for everyone. We want to keep that going all year.
