Milwaukee Public Schools Forest Home Ave Early Child Center

The mission of Forest Home Avenues Parent Center is to create an environment where parents, families and community members join together in a partnership to increase parental involvement and to actively participate in their childrens education. The Parent Center offers a place for parents/guardians and families to work together on school projects and neighborhood initiatives. The Forest Home Avenue School Parent Center serves as a link to the community so that families take a leadership role and make a difference in their childs education.

One of the goals of the Parent Center is to unite with the community. The Parent Center positions Forest Home Avenue School as a quality MPS school working with a strong, healthy community to enrich the lives of students.

The Parent Center also facilitates parenting classes and workshop opportunities for Forest Home Avenue School families. Guest speakers host presentations for parents and guardians on a variety of topics such as English as a Second Language, technology, literacy, health issues, drug awareness and prevention and citizenship. Other activities include art classes and other enrichment projects. Monthly seminars help address current issues and challenges for families.
