SCOPE SACC at Mineola Hampton Street

On a recent Thursday afternoon I was walking around the school talking with students teachers and coaches about their various sports and activities. Students were using almost every available space the soccer and football teams were practicing on the fields the cross country team was running outside and the volleyball team was practicing inside the gym. Students were working out in the weight room and others were studying in the library. The rehearsals for the fall play The Laramie Project had begun in the auditorium. The Rockettes were practicing their routines and the rest of Marching Band was getting ready for their night practice. I believe that participation in athletics and extracurricular activities offered at Mineola High School helps students achieve academically collaborate with others build self-esteem and help them prepare for the future. This facility is authorized to administer medications
