Jennifer Spring is in her sixth year as Principal of New Hartford High School. She is the tenth principal in the school’s 116-year history and the first woman. Jennifer is a graduate of the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University holds a Master’s of Education from Boston University and a C.A.S from SUNY Cortland. Prior to coming to New Hartford she served as the Principal of the Business & Finance Academy at T.R. Proctor High School Principal of Dr. Martin Luther King Elementary and Assistant Principal at John F. Kennedy Middle School all in the Utica City School District. Her background also includes being a Fulbright Scholar in Poland a United States Information Agency English Teaching Fellow in Guatemala an ESL textbook author with Pearson and an adjunct instructor at Utica College. Jennifer was named an Educator of Excellence by the New York State English Council an Accent on Excellence winner which recognizes local community leaders under the age of 40 and a WCNY Educator of the Month. In 2005 she was in Argentina as part of the Fulbright Administrator Exchange program. Jennifer spent the month of July 2009 studying intensive Spanish at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is currently participating in the Superintendent Development Program through SUNY Oswego. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only
