A structured and responsive Creative Arts Program is an integral part of Hartley House’s service to the community. At any given time 100+ neighbors participate in organized classes workshops and mentoring while our open studio time allows for additional freeform creative development.
Painting and ceramics classes are scheduled each season for adults and seniors while an ESL/GED/El Centro Art Class caters to our Spanish-speaking and bilingual neighbors. The After School and Summer Day Camp Programs incorporate painting collage ceramics and individual and small-group art mentoring for children as part of their curricula. The HOPE Program’s individual art sessionsa special service for homebound seniorsremains a much-appreciated dimension of our comprehensive Creative Arts Program. This facility is authorized to administer over-the-counter topical ointments only
