Center in North Brunswick, NJ 08902
Located in a beautifully wooded area next to Veterans Park and North Brunswick Township High School, Arthur M. Judd Elementary School is a dynamic community of educators, children and families with a diverse population of approximately 735 students in grade levels ranging from pre-school through five. Our children stem from a wide range of racial and national origins. They represent at least 40 different languages and adhere to a vast number of cultural and religious tenets. We believe that this diversity helps us learn, grow, and work together in what can be truly called a global family.
As a learning community, we are devoted to fulfilling the Districts mission of fostering an emotional and academic environment wherein students will develop the tools necessary to become self-regulated, lifelong learners. To that end, Judd School offers a variety of outstanding research-based programs and authentic learning opportunities that address this goal. Our academic programs continuously evolve as we study student performance data and instructional practices. We strive to base our instructional decisions on curricular design and materials that offer our students the rigorous and relevant opportunities they need to become knowledgeable thinkers and confident problem solvers. Our programs, goals, and cultural events also address the whole child and are geared to cultivate respect for all people and responsibility for the natural environment. The essential skills of peacemaking, conflict resolution, and peer mediation are addressed school-wide through our involvement in Rutgers Universitys DSACS (Developing Safe and Civil Schools) initiative for improving social-emotional and character development (SECD) and our unique 6C approach. At Judd, we believe that all school members should Care, Cooperate, Compliment, Communicate, Compromise and Celebrate one another as we strive to build community.
