Research has shown that childrens attention spans are greater and learning is accelerated when they have fun in the process. We believe that the most uplifting sound on earth is the sound of children laughing and singing. Therefore, we have enhanced our curriculum with songs and lyrics not just in music class, but in all classes. Our comprehensive preschool curriculum consists of Math, Science, Phonics, Computers, Art, Spanish, and Music all included in the tuition with no extra fees. We have developed a full day Kindergarten program that we are ready to implement after we have completed an evaluation to determine if there is sufficient demand for the program. Our preschool curriculum overlaps with many of the Kindergarten courses and our preschool graduates will be fully prepared to handle any Kindergarten assignment.
We are one of the few preschools in the state of Missouri to teach the 6 pillars of Character Counts – Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. We also teach sharing, manners and etiquette. Our recognition and rewards program reinforces character development by recognizing each time a child does the right thing and providing a reward (a star under their name on the Character Counts chart) and an acknowledgement to the parents.
At Beth Academy we recognize that nutrition and exercise are very important for the physical development of a child. Our meal plans are all designed to the childrens nutrition guidelines from the USDAs Food Pyramid. We serve a hot breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack to all students included in the tuition with no extra fees. Play 60 is practiced at Beth Academy. Our schedule provides for an hour of exercise on the playgrounds every day, weather permitting. If our 4 age specific playgrounds and 720 square foot covered playground are not useable due to bad weather, our 1000 square foot activity room is used.
