IVCC Early Childhood Education Center

The program is divided into three key areas: Early Childhood Education (birth age 8), Education (k-12) and Continuing Education & Business Services. The Education Program is staffed by Jill Urban-Bollis, the Education Program Coordinator/Full time professor. The ECE program is staffed by Diane Christianson, the Early Childhood Program Coordinator/Professor. The ECE program also includes two nationally accredited Early Childhood Centers, a Parent/Teacher Resource Center, and administers a Before-and-After School-Age program. Marianne Dzik is the dean for both of these programs which are part of the division, Mathematics, English and Education.

As a part of the community connection, the Early Childhood Program and the Education Program have each formed advisory councils that meet each year. The committee serves as a means to network and to build relationships with education partners in our community. Advisory members include IVCC faculty and administrators, local teachers and administrators and/or day care providers, paraprofessionals, representatives from the Regional Office of Education and from the office representing special education.
