UMOM New Day Centers

The Child Development Center provides programming for children age 6 weeks through 5th grade, in an environment which gives children the opportunity to explore, discover and interact with their world. Children experience meaningful play in a warm setting. Developmental centers encourage creativity and curiosity, as the children develop and master developmental goals and objectives.

Children are assessed in their development – socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. Each child is unique in their growth. Our staff caters the lessons and experiences based upon the individual child. The center believes in the vital role of partnering with the parents to draw them into their child’s overall development. Parents are offered the opportunities to attend Parent/Teacher Conferences as well as have daily communication about their child with the teacher. When an area of concern arises referrals are made to outside resources for the family, and the classroom staff creates experiences within the classroom to address the targeted needs.

Along with being one of the first to be part of the voluntary “Quality First” program, through the First Things First Board in Arizona, UMOM CDC also became accredited in November 2011 with NAC, (the National Accreditation Commission for Early Child Care and Education Programs). Both of these programs ensure our children have access to the quality early learning opportunities that will help them arrive at kindergarten ready to succeed.

The Child Development Center also encompasses the Kids Den afterschool program for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Kids Den is licensed for up to 40 kids. There are afterschool activities Monday-Friday to enhance their learning. Kids Den has partnerships with Gabriels Angels, Free Arts and Future for Kids. There are also volunteers that come in weekly for physical education activities.
