Learning is fun in the Before and After
School Program sponsored
by Richmonds
Department of Parks, Recreation &
Community Facilities and Richmond
Public Schools! Youth in Kindergarten
through 5th Grade who attend participating
schools are eligible to enroll at their school.
When you register ask about all of the great
activities planned for the year!
The After School Program is offered
Monday through Friday at all participating
sites during the school year from school
dismissal until 5:30 pm. at that time all
children not riding the activity bus must be
picked up by their parents. The Before School
Program is offered Monday through Friday from
7:45 to 8:30 am at Blackwell, Clark Springs and
John B. Cary. The After School program is only
held on full-operating school days. Each week
the Before & After School Program will blend
standard recreational
activities such as arts and
crafts, educational games, health, fitness and
sports, performing arts and music with programs
that focus on SOL subject areas, life skills and
character building.
