Community Synagogue Early Childhood Center

The ECC began as a nursery school over 40 years ago with just a few families. Today with over 120 children we are a fully accredited Day Care Center licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services and registered by NYS Department of Education. We are a synagogue-based learning center for young children and their families and a diverse community which welcomes people of all backgrounds.

My personal journey with the ECC began as a parent then as a teacher and for the last 15 years I have filled the role of Director. I would love the opportunity to show you our community a place where children and their families fill our building every day with their warmth and curiosity.

Our programs set the stage for a childs life-long learning adventure and we are thrilled to be at the foundation of this wondrous journey. We begin with our parenting center; a place to explore all the newness of early development with your child and other parents; to our Nursery School classes and pre-k; to an exceptional variety of enrichment programs that provide a wonderful alternative for extended hours here at the ECC.

Our scope of offerings provides a mirror into our community. We continually reflect on a shifting environment and strive to address changing needs both in the classroom and in our community. We are proud to be one of the few Early Childhood Centers in the surrounding area that offers both flexibility and a broad breath of programs.

The ECC is truly a community for the entire family. Our Parent Association is a vital ingredient in the success of our school. Parent perspective and feedback provide key information that helps us continually improve our programs in this ever-changing environment.
