The missions of Langston Middle School is to teach skills that allow all students to learn and develop to his/her full potential and enable him/her them to become productive works, citizens and contributors to our democratic and increasingly technological society.
I consider it a great pleasure and a tremendous honor to serve as the Principal of Langston Middle School. As an educator, I believe that children are gifts filled with boundless potential. Through the efforts of the school and community, we are able to help them develop their skills and talents and prepare them for continued success far beyond their middle years. Our school must be a learning environment but, equally important, a caring environment in which children are accepted for their unique intelligences and gifts. Continuing this focus for our school, we all (students, staff, parents, and community) will soar beyond expectations. We will continue the tradition of helping all children realize their academic goals. We are very proud of the educational progress that our students continue to make each year and remain confident that this school term will yield even greater success. We look forward to working with each of you as we share ideas to sustain the provision of educational services from which children receive maximum benefit. Sincerely, Ms. RoseMary Johnson, Principal

We believe that all children can learn and have the right to a quality education.

We believe that learning is fundamental in the pursuit of happiness and the quality of learning today will affect the quality of life tomorrow.

We believe that the quality of teaching (school and home) affects the quality of learning and that parents and the larger community are important in education.

We believe that the level of parental involvement affects the level of students achievement regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic/racial background, or the parents educational level.

We believe that a positive, safe school climate, well-trained teachers and administrators are paramount to the academic success of ours students.

We believe that knowledge alone is not enough; the development of critical thinking skills, moral principles, and values are crucial to the educational process.
