Welcome to Kids by the Bay Child Care Center! We are a unique community in San Francisco, which serves Federal employees and the local community. We accept children ages 8 weeks- 5 years olds. At our center we believe in the importance of play, and in engaging our children in learning through our Guided Discovery philosphy. We believe in observinig what the children are interested in, and then bringing their interests to developmentally appropriate activities. Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child’s growth, and as teachers we design an enriched envrionment in which the child can explore. As the child explores the environment and activities provided, the teacher acts as a guide and asks open-ended questions to encourage the child to think through the process as he or she comes to an conclusion. Every child is a scientist ready to explore, and we are here to help foster their curiousity!
