North Shore Synogogue Nursery School

North Shore Synagogue Nursery School is a special place. We provide a secure safe and happy environment for children two through Pre-K ages. It is free of pressures and stresses allowing our children the opportunity to grow. We build self-confidence in our non-competitive classrooms giving the children a natural desire to try new activities and develop as many new skills as they are ready to try. We support guide and stimulate childrens social emotional cognitive spiritual creative physical and Jewish cultural growth through developmentally appropriate activities.

We as teachers provide each child in our program with countless opportunities for learning both planned and incidental each day. By encouraging problem solving our children learn to look at their world from different points of view. By integrating the secular and Judaic aspects of life into our curriculum children learn to be comfortable and familiar with their own practices. We strive to enhance your childs self-esteem in everything we do. We want each child to feel that he or she is special because of course each child is!

As children learn through all five senses our curriculum is multi-sensory. We emphasize music and movement arts and crafts science and cooking – all through developmentally appropriate activities. Through Shabbat and the celebration of all the Jewish Holidays children internalize our Jewish values and traditions. Songs stories and Jewish moral development help to accomplish this task.

We all feel that play is the work of childhood and must be taken seriously by those who work with children. This facility is authorized to administer medications
