Syracuse University Early Education and Child Care Center

The Early Education and Child Care Center in the College of Human Ecology’s Department of Child and Family Studies provides a developmentally based program in an environment designed especially for young children both in the interior classroom space and outside natural playscape.

Respect for each childs individualized pattern and timing of growth as well as individual personality learning style interests culture logic and family background are central to the fabric of daily interactions and the direction the curriculum follows.

We provide a full day program for children 2 months to 5 years of age opening at 8 a.m. and closing at 5:30 p.m. during the academic year. Summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Specific detail about the calendar is included in the operational information section. This facility is authorized to administer medications
