Tehachapi Child Development Center

We are located in a mountain valley between the upper Mojave Desert and the Southern San Joaquin Valley. We operate a K – 5 grade level program. The Tompkins Elementary School staff is committed to working with the parents and community toward the common goal of providing a high quality balanced educational program that enables students to develop intellectually physically and morally so that they will function effectively and make a positive contribution to our society; further we believe a balanced educational environment provides a nurturing experience so that each student will successfully reach his/her highest potential while recognizing and providing for individual differences. We believe that this school district must provide and support an environment that fosters high self-esteem communication trust respect and encourages professional growth.
