We are a community-based nursery school sponsored by the First Congregational Church of Washington. Our mission is to encourage young children to explore and experiment in a variety of ways that will enable them to learn to interact with their peers, make choices, and participate in enjoyable activities under the supervision of an experienced, qualified, and caring staff. We are not church-centered, and operate independently both in outlook and outreach. We welcome all three and four-year old children who would benefit from a traditional nursery school experience.

It is our philosophy that children will grow emotionally and intellectually when given an accepting, non-threatening environment. This environment should offer a wide variety of activities that enable the children to explore, discover, and participate as individuals and as part of a group. We are proponents of a nursery school environment that teaches socialization skills acquired naturally in a group setting. Academic exposure is provided as age-appropriate in subtle, but meaningful ways.
