George Washington Elementary School offers a supportive educational environment which provides a sense of community and high expectations for all children. Our efforts revolve around helping students develop and grow in various areas necessary for a successful school career and personal life. These involve a desire to learn and a love of learning as a life-long process; a foundation of strong basic skills to enable independent growth; critical thinking and decision-making skills positive self-esteem; and respect for others.

The school theme Communication Arts is embodied in integrated classroom activities that include written visual technological oral and artistic communication forms across the various subject areas. The school facility is a blend of the traditional and modern. It provides spacious settings for learning and large fields for outdoor activities.
