Milestones UWS Preschool

Milestones is a unique new, home based Preschool located across the street from Riverside Park in the 70’s on NYC’s Upper West Side. It is based in the Director’s spacious town home apartment. It is a curriculum based learning environment in a loving, warm and welcoming setting. We are a mixed age group , limited to 10 children which promotes a family feeling. The Director, who has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Child Psychology, has 35 years of teaching experience as well as experience in many aspects of child care.. The Lead Teacher has a BS in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a minor in disabilities studies, and has extensive experience with children of all ages and learning levels and styles.

We strive to foster cooperation, socialization, respect and caring as well as preparing your child for Kindergarten in a fun, appropriate way. We firmly believe that a child’s first school experience is crucial to developing a love of learning and we also believe in nurturing a child’s ability to be compassionate, cooperative and engaged.
