Gum Springs Head Start Children's Center

Head Start is a federal program that serves children up to the age of five, and pregnant women, from low-income families. Head Start helps prepare children for success in school through:

*Education
Early childhood education;
Services for children with disabilities.

*Health, Nutrition and Mental Health
Healthy meals and snacks;
Helping pregnant women find pre-natal care;
*Helping families find health care, including dental and mental health care.
*Family Services

Parenting workshops, events and one-on-one training; Giving parents the chance to be Head Start volunteers; Helping parents find job training, transportation and other community services.
