DeSoto Early Childhood Center

DeSoto Early Childhood Center which opened its doors in October 1989 now houses the early learning programs for threefour and five year old children which includes the voluntary pre kindergarten program. The infants and toddlers program as mandated by the State of Florida.

The curriculum used at Desoto Early Childhood Center is developmentally appropriate. The Administration Faculty and Staff are highly trained early childhood specialists who all have a sincere love for young children and a desire to see them grow learn and achieve.

Florida’s Voluntary Pre Kindergarten Standards are incorporate into the curriculum. The center is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and was one of the first Early Childhood Centers in the state of Florida to obtain the Governor’s “Gold Seal” rating in 1995. The center encourages parental involvement and has received the Commissioner of Education “Golden School Award” since 1990 for excellent volunteerism in the school which involves parent and local business partners.
