Chesapeake Academy Elementary Preschool

Chesapeake Academy’s Elementary School provides a joyful environment and an exceptional academic program for grades 1 – 5. Our faculty places emphasis on critical thinking, organizational, and study skills, thereby educating a student for academic achievement and life-long decision making.

Reading, writing, and communication skills are stressed. Problem solving extends the student’s understanding and application of mathematical concepts. Math, social studies, and science provide opportunities for group projects working with manipulatives and a multitude of exciting activities that demonstrate the student’s knowledge and understanding of these subjects.

At the same time, the curriculum offers opportunities for cultural and personal growth through enrichment programs and the study of subjects such as a foreign language, music, art, drama, information skills, computer instruction, and physical education.

At Chesapeake Academy, we have also invested resources in a unique program called Renaissance that is focused on expanded science and the visual and performing arts. As specialists in educating young learners, all our resources in the classroom and beyond, focus on preschool through fifth grade students.
