Atascadero Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit, parent-assisted Preschool that has been serving families of the North County for more than 40 years. The Preschool is open to all children 3 to 5 years old, providing a safe and nurturing environment in a developmentally appropriate program. Parents work alongside an Early Childhood Education Certified Teacher in the classroom and are integral in the operation of the school. at the Atascadero Cooperative Preschool we want your child to learn to use their independence. By implementing a classroom environment that is respectful of the child’s feelings and individuality, we hope to develop your child’s self-esteem, sense of confidence, and a positive outlook on learning. We also rely on fundraising events throughout the year to help out financially with the costs of running and maintaining our school. Each family is required to participate in our annual fundraisers or choose the “buy out” option. Because we are a non-profit business, your participation is crucial to the overall success of our Preschool.

Our Philosophy… We have a child-centered approach to learning. Each child is encouraged to explore, learn, contribute, question, and grow in his or her own way. It is our goal that when your child completes our Pre-K class he or she will be completely ready for Kindergarten.
