Preschool in Atlanta, GA 30329
The Beth Jacob Preschool welcomes all Jewish children, ages six months through pre-kindergarten, of the greater Atlanta Jewish community. Our school provides early childhood students with a foundation for learning by nurturing social, physical, and cognitive development through the earliest years of development. We are proud to offer an integrated Judaics curriculum which synthesizes age-appropriate experiences with Jewish concepts and teachings. Beth Jacob teachers and staff respect the dignity, worth, and uniqueness of each individual child and family. For more information call our Preschool Director, Dr. Rebecca Oberman at 678-244-6649.

Every child possesses a natural curiosity and desire to learn. As Jews, we celebrate the holiness of educating and nurturing our children; Maimonides reminds us that the breath of school children is the reason for the worlds existence (The Laws of Torah Study, 2:1). Creativity, imagination, exploration, and active investigation live within every child, and our goal is to create an environment that fosters each childs talents, feelings, learning styles, and modes of expression.
We regard play as the cornerstone of learning. Through play children learn socialization, language, concentration, motor-skills, self-awareness, and self-confidence. Our classroom materials and activities are, therefore, designed to be age-appropriate and to be sensory-rich so that individual children may experience them on a number of levels. We encourage play that allows for movement, emotional expression, and individual creativity. Through honoring each childs uniqueness, we nurture a positive and secure self-concept within the child.
By integrating these principles within an orthodox Jewish curriculum we allow children to experience the joys and richness of their individual growth within a vibrant Jewish context. Through daily davening, Hebrew language exposure, and regular holiday celebrations, children come to see themselves as part of a larger community with distinct values, beliefs, traditions, and teaching.
