Oak Grove PTA Board of Directors Annual Goals 2010-2011
- Support the teachers and staffing in whatever means possible as mutually agreed to with the principal. Determine needs in regularly scheduled meetings between principal and PTA co-presidents.
- Speaking up for every child. Advocate at least once during the 2010/2011 school year at both the state and local levels for legislation, funding, and/or policies to improve our students’ education.
- Fundraising to supplement public funding and to enrich the academic curriculum.
- Planning musical and artistic enrichment; cultural, athletic, and family event; field days; and other activities to enrich Oak Grove families’ experiences.
- Partnering with at least one organization to promote our families’ community outreach thereby assisting our children in their efforts to support people in need.
- Leveraging technology to increase the PTA’s effective communication with parents and teacher.
- Expanding PTA General Meetings to include information, educational, and /or parenting/student presentations to increase general membership attendance.
