Prairie View Montessori’s primary mission is to serve children by offering interactive, dynamic learning environments, which meet their cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs. We seek to work in partnership with families to form a base of support for each child’s success. Dr. Montessori’s method is the foundation of our approach. We also support the view that education is not about memorizing answers, but about devising questions and developing the courage to take risks and stand by what you believe. Our goal is that all children leave Prairie View as confident, excited learners who think for themselves and respect the people and environment around them.

At Prairie View Montessori we believe that all children should have the opportunity to fully develop their potential. We also feel that education is most effective when it follows childrens development and when children are active participants in their learning, not passive recipients. Parents, teachers and community members must work together to accomplish this. To this end, we have built a Montessori Childrens House.
Our first priority at Prairie View is to serve the children. Their needs are paramount. Within the context of serving the children, we are also here to support their families. All individuals at Prairie View Montessori, children, parents, and staff are recognized and celebrated for their uniqueness and diversity and treated with respect. We need and anticipate a high level of input and involvement from families since our partnership is integral to our success. Children are the generation of the future and they need a good start! Prairie View Montessori is a place where they can enjoy a rich and fulfilling learning experience.
