St John Lutheran School

Our mission offerings are collected in our chapel service on the first school day of each week. Our previous offerings were for the support of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The synods Commission of Relief had committed $25000 for this purpose. For the last two terms of this school year we will be collecting funds for work being done in Mexico. The students heard about this in our Kids Connection video last Monday. There is a student named Andrew Gerlach who took a year off from MLC to teach English as a Foreign Language in Mexico. In so doing he and other workers have many opportunities to reach out to the community with teachings from the Bible. A group called WELS Kingdom Workers is trying to raise $43400 for this mission work. Our contributions will be part of that effort.
