Hello and welcome to our wonderful preschool in Belmont, NC. My name is Amanda and I am the school director. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies and Birth through Kindergarten. I have an extensive background in the early childhood field with over seventeen years of experience as a substitute, licensed NC PreK teacher, and administrator.
At Childcare Network we have made it our goal to make sure that each and every child grows and develops for success. We offer a high quality program which includes Bright Babies, High Reach Learning, and Creative Curriculum. We also offer many additional opportunities such as Kindermusik, computer classes, and gymnastics. In addition to these wonderful programs we use art as a focus in our daily curriculum. We beleive an art-filled environment provides cognitive, social/emotional, physical and language development opportunities, which will increase the capacity of learning. It is important to us to prepare your child for Kindergarten and our structured curriculum and activities reflect that every day. We offer NC PreK and our very own Kindergarten Prep Academy for 4 and 5 year olds entering Kindergarten in the Fall of each year. These programs prepare the child and the parent for elementary school success. Our Young Achievers (before/after school care) and Adventure Spring/Summer Camp program are for the older school age children. They will actively participate in an environment rich in learning and fun. We have many exciting field trips planned for summer camp which include Tiger World, Lazy 5 Ranch, Ray-s Planet, Mint Museum, CPCC theater department, and many more. All of our children are prepared 3 free, USDA-Approved meals onsite. Which include breakfast lunch and afternoon snack. This helps keep the children energized and ready to learn all day long. I would absoutly not only tell a friend but perfect strangers about how amazing Childcare Network has been to my son Devon. The staff have become family to me. Devon has been in this location when it was Cline Learning Center and even when it was bought out by Childcare Network the transition was smooth. My son has been cared for at this location since he was a little over a year old. It was never just daycare in fact Devon and I called it going to school until it confused things when he started kindergarden and attending Childcare Network at teh same time. My son is now an amazing 12 year old boy with strong values and morals and I owe that to the partnership of Childcare Network and myself. Childcare Network helped me be the best single mom I could be for my son and for that I am forever greatful to their organization. Their hours were condusive so that I could always obtain balance between work and being a mom. The staff there are compassionate about what they do and it is awesome to have such a wonderful partnership with an organization that isn't just taking care of your kids while you work ... they are helping you raise your child the best way possible. I love the staff at Childcare Network in Belmont and I absolutly miss having Devon there. Ms. Robin is phenomial and I had the pleasure of her taking care of Devon directly as a teacher and later when she took on more responsibility in the office. She is the face that should be branding Childcare Network. Oh and then Ms. Sherita!!! Love love love her. She is the first one to open up in the mornings to start breakfast for all those little ones ... she is a one woman show .. from what I see I think she is the only one who runs that kitchen. Like anyplace when you have several young children spending so much time together there will be situations that come up and when it happens the staff is very good about resolving and interveening as needed. If anyone at the Belmont location is able to read this I want them to know how much I have always appreicated them all these years for helping me raise my son and that they will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for helping to teach the same values that I work hard to teach my son at home. Compassion for all others, sharing, manners, speaking up for yourself, using words instead of physical force first to resolve conflict. Gosh I could go on but those are the core values that are taught in my home and love that Childcare Network teaches these same values.
