Step One School was established in 1981 in order to provide the East Bay community with a model Early Childhood program. We formed Step One School because we are committed to excellence in promoting the development of young children. We believe that all the ways a child grows-emotionally socially mentally and physically-are interrelated and that learning and discovery in these areas begins at a very young age. Our goal at Step One is to guide the development of a well-rounded child one who knows and trusts himself can get along with others and who can recognize and follow her interests as well as develop new ones.
