The City of Beverly Hills Community Services
Department proudly offers a year-round Preschool
program at 6 classroom sites for residents of Beverly Hills
with children 3 to 5 years of age.
Children must be three years old and toilet-trained
before starting school.
Although these programs are recreational in nature,
fundamental building blocks and tools necessary for a child
to succesSFully integrate into Kindergarten are providEducation
These programs prepare children for Kindergarten through
the development of socialization and interaction skills.
Children will learn the basics such as ABCs, color, shapes,
numbers and begin their appreciation of the arts and
science. A healthy snack is provided at all schools daily.
Parents must provide lunch each day their child attends.
All children are encouraged to realize their full
potential, while at the same time, helping them to
recognize socially acceptable norms within the Preschool
environment as a stepping stone to Kindergarten.
Our Preschool programs are licensed by the State of
California and comply with all licensing guidelines and
requirement. All programs embrace the highest standards
of conduct, health and safety.

Early childhood should be a time of joy, comfort,
excitement, exploring and discovery. Preschool age
children are both open and receptive. Our program
nurtures and encourages these qualities in its students
through a combination of structured group time and
individual creative learning in a positive environment. We
utilize a development approach and provide experiences
which promote curiosity and develop cognitive, language,
social and fine and gross motor skills. The children are
encourage to actively explore their environment and
acquire skills through a combination of play, small and
large group activities, and direct instruction.
