The Schmidt Family YMCA Child Development Center at Mae Volen
is dedicated to providing young children with preschool education. Our program encourages exploration creativity and self expression through developmentally appropriate activities. Child guided learning experiences support healthy social emotional intellectual and physical development. YMCA staff portray positive role models while providing care which is supportive nurturing warm and responsive to each childs needs.

The nurturing environment at The Schmidt Family YMCA provides on-going opportunities for children and senior adults to interact. The benefits to both generations are wide ranging. Children learn that seniors have rich histories and are in many ways not so different than them; seniors receive love and attention from children helping them focus on the many joys of life.
