Our cooperative preschool has been in session since 1967. We are located in the Living Stone Church but are not affiliated with the church.

BCP is a non-profit non-secretarian organization licensed by the State Department of Social Services and the Michigan Department of Education as a cooperative preschool. Our preschool is a member of the Huron Valley Council of Cooperative Nurseries (HVCCN).

BCP is headed by an Executive Board consisting of a President Vice President Secretary two Treasurers Fundraising and a Membership Chairperson. The board meets once a month.

The school is cooperative in that all of the members help make the rules pay expenses and assist in the operation of the school.

Teacher selection is based on educational background and experience in early childhood education.

Children in the preschool program at Brighton Co-op explore these concepts but are not required to master them before entering Kindergarten. Children are taught with hands-on materials songs and games. They learn at their own pace.
