The Burbank First United Methodist Church (BFUMC) offers the Nursery School program as part of its ministry to the community.
The school was founded in 1958 as a state licensed non-profit program to serve the needs of the Church and community and is offered by the Commission on Christian Education and the Nursery School Committee as part of the Christian Education Progam. Tuition payments cover the operational expenses.

We believe that children learn in predictable developmental stages and that all areas of a child’s developmental growth are of equal importance. It is through play that a child’s social-emotional physical and cognitive skills are strengthened. The Nursery School provides an environment that is rich in opportunity and will eNHAnce the child’s understanding of the world around them. The staff at the nursery school facilitates and supports a child’s growth through meaningful opportunities and by being positive role models. It is through a balance of appropriate independence and adult support that a child will develop the necessary tools to embrace and handle the challenges they will face once leaving our program. We aim to provide a rich preschool experience that will enable children to grow and learn at their own rate.
