TCC Westgate is a small child care cooperative that offers preschool services to children who are age 2.9 to kindergarten entry. Westgate closes during the summer months, but applications for enrollment are accepted year round. As a cooperative, parents work side-by-side with teachers and support operations. As a result, our community is close-knit and friendly. As teachers, we focus on and work with the strengths of each individual child to help the child develop and grow.
Westgate is located on the MIT campus in a residential building. The floor-to-ceiling windows in our classroom bring in an abundance of natural light, and we have a large playground outside.

Our emergent curriculum is developmentally appropriate and grows with the children. Parents and family members volunteer to assist the program in a variety of ways; this cooperative element helps keep tuition costs for our program down. Parents receive training as preparation to be classroom volunteers before assisting teachers. Other parent volunteer activities include providing assistance with maintenance, cooking, cleaning, and more.
