The developmentally appropriate program is packed full of hands-on learning experiences and spirituality. Preschoolers are learning to be self-sufficient! The focus is on monthly themes, process art, self-help and social skills. The children are given many opportunities designed to enhance imagination, gross motor skills, cultural and sensorial awareness and verbal/language arts. This curriculum includes work with shapes, colors, counting and sorting, nursery rhymes and beginning phonemic awareness.
Our goal is readiness for kindergarten through a center-based, hands-on Christian curriculum. We will address each students personal learning style. Daily opportunities are provided to increase their spirituality and independence. The structured play focuses on literacy and pre-Math skills, along with science/social studies activities. Writing emerges and social skills are practiced. Field trips, cooking experiences and Weekly Reader enhance the Pre-K program.
