Hello and welcome to The Goddard School located on Medical Drive in Carmel Indiana! I am Donna the on-site owner. I am a degreed Early Childhood and Elementary educator with over 30 years of experience. I have worked with children of all ages in various settings. My life revolves around children starting with raising my four daughters and expanding into the teaching coaching and volunteering opportunities. This School has been a dream come true for me over the past eleven years.
My school is dedicated to providing the best possible environment for the education and development of your child. The curriculum on a typical day at our School includes cognitive skills math science social science motor skills computer skills Spanish creative arts and self-help skills. As you walk through the halls you will see interest centers and active children. Our program meets the needs of the “whole” child which is evident as you read your child’s daily sheet . We also include in our curriculum sign language Spanish a music and physical fitness program as well as a guide to getting along and manners. In addition we use the CPAA testing program for all of our 4 and 5 year olds to better serve their educational needs.
Our 8000 square foot facility takes on a rural farm setting with the help of a 20-foot mural overlooking the centrally located Exploration room. This room is used by all the children for both large and small group settings. Our curriculum is theme-based so each month we offer an exciting new topic to explore. The classrooms and the Exploration room are transformed to represent the monthly theme.
My staff of 19 have over 251 years of experience teaching children. Of those years 83 years were at our School. We are very pleased to have such a dedicated staff. Be sure to read some of the letters from our families about our program.
