Preschool in Cedar Grove, NJ 07009
Welcome to The Learning Experience (TLE) at Cedar Grove located at 1090 Pompton Ave.
Our center is open Monday through Friday 6:30am-6:30pm with programs for infants age 6 weeks to Pre-Schoolers age 5 and additional programs for children up to 8 years old! We offer three, four and five day programs with various hours to suit parent’s schedules. We are conveniently located on Pompton Avenue (also known as Route 23 at different points) just minutes from Route 46, 80 and 287 and the Willowbrook Mall! We also work closely with corporations in the area to encourage participation in our Work and Family Program where employee discounts are available.
Here at TLE we pride ourselves on the curriculum that the children follow provided to us by National Academy for Educators and Caregivers. Our curriculum is fun yet teaches all the basics that your child will need to enter elementary school! We even incorporate sign language* in our classroom curriculum! It’s great to see our little ones signing that they want “more” of something! We also have a technology program where the children are participating in interactive learning with computers.
Our highly qualified staff is chosen for their special love of children. All of our teachers are certified and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. The onsite management team is always here to make sure you are comfortable and secure in leaving your child with us. Security is the name of the game at TLE, from key fobs allowing in only those registered to the camera system that even covers the playground! You can rest assured that your child will be safe and well cared for during the day with us.
Preparing your child not only for school but for life is our goal. The Learning Experience Academic Program (LEAP) is one of the best teaching tools around! Espaol Para Nios Pequeos (Spanish for small children) is also taught here! According to researchers, the benefits of learning multiple languages at an early age are enormously beneficial and provide invaluable advantages. We also offer Fun with Phonics, American Sign Language, and technology to children, at no additional cost! Our wonderful Make Believe Boulevard (a miniature Main Street USA) is a great way for children to visit the firehouse, the grocery store or the diner each day. The enrichment programs of Charlie Choo Choo include Start to Art, Marvelous Math, Talent Sprouts, Dancing Feet, Suddenly Science, Music 4 me, and Movin’ n Grovin’. The Learning Experience never charges extra for enrichment programs so all of these programs are INCLUDED in your child’s tuition!
The Learning Experience strives on a daily basis to be THE BEST CHILD CARE center that you have ever been to. Please stop in to take a tour of our amazing facility! We think you will be pleasantly surprised. We invite you to join our TLE family here in Cedar Grove!

The Learning Experience believes that how children learn is as important as what they learn; therefore, we have created an innovative and exciting preschool curriculum.
L.E.A.P. encourages each child to achieve success independently while developing intellectually, socially, and physically.
Our preschool program is broken up into three completely separate classes according to chronological age and
developmental stage. Conceived and written by our own Curriculum Department at The Learning Experience
Corporate Headquarters, L.E.A.P. provides our preschool teachers with a comprehensive monthly curriculum.
Children in this age group are involved in hands-on activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems
at their own rate of development. Children in the Little Learners group receive their personal age-appropriate
L.E.A.P. book each month. The book contains a wide variety of activities that involve problems in logic, math,
reading, phonics and writing skills. Each month has a different theme. Little Learners start in the Infants room
and continuing through the Preppers room.
