Goddard School - Rivers Bend

Welcome to The Goddard School located at Rivers Bend, serving Chester and the surrounding areas of Colonial Heights, Fort Lee, Hopewell, Dinwiddie, Varina, and Prince George. We are conveniently located at the entrance of Rivers Bend, just off Route 10 between I-95 and I- 295.

Let us introduce ourselves. We are Stephen and Paula Graham, on-site owners and operators of our School. We are also proud parents our daughter attends elementary school in Chester and also attends our before- and after- school program. As parents of a young child, we know the importance of providing the best possible environment for your childs education and development, while also staying within affordable limits.

Whatever the age, the key to young children developing a love of learning is to make learning fun. From infant to toddler, we provide a wholesome, loving and stimulating learning environment. For our preschoolers, the structured academic and social programs are designed to have our children become confident learners before they enter a private or public school Kindergarten setting. Once they reach Elementary school, we offer a high quality before- and after-school program where we provide a nurturing learning environment with homework help, skills enhancement, and indoor and outdoor play. We also have a fantastic summer camp program!

Our Goddard School is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. year round and features extended day and half day programs, making it convenient for parents who want the proven advantages of a high quality preschool education for their children. Our state-of-the-art, custom designed buildings were planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. In addition, the grounds include three large age appropriate playgrounds and play areas where children are supervised while they enjoy themselves playing and exercising their muscles in the fresh air!

We thank all our parents for making our School so successful in just a few years. This has allowed us to complete an expansion of our facility and programs at The Goddard School located in Rivers Bend. Our second building has three classrooms so that we may expand our before- and after- school program as well as our preschool programs. The centerpiece of our expansion is a large in-door gymnasium which is used for recreation as well as for special classes and events. In addition, we have The Computer Lab and Game room, the Arts & Crafts room, and our Kids Kitchen for cooking projects. We are proud to have the most comprehensive preschool and before- and after -school program in our area.
