Children's House

The Children’s House was started with a dream to provide a loving environment for each child to grow and develop as an individual, while building self-esteem and a love for learning. We accomplish this through the skillful guidance of a nurturing, trained staff.

Most of our staff are seasoned professionals, with a commitment to serving children’s individual needs for over ten years. They are warm and energetic and ready to help each child reach his potential. Our owners are Jackie Coleman and Suzanne Wittersheim. Jackie has 40 years experience as a child development center Owner/Director, as well as a teaching background in elementary education. Suzanne Wittersheim has over 40 years’ experience as a child development center Owner/Director in several Chesterfield County child care centers.

Our Directors are:

Yolanda Ellis directs our infant, toddler and two-year old programs. She has been an educator in child development at The Children’s House for 26 years and Director for 25 years.

Vicky Lang directs our preschool program. She has been in the child care profession for 27 years and Director at The Children’s House for 25 years.

David Duffy has been the director of our school age program for over 23 years, serving the needs of many Chesterfield children and their families.

Every child is SPECIAL… and we strive to provide each one with the tools needed for a lifetime of LOVE, LAUGHTER and LEARNING.
