Lincoln Park Preschool and Lincoln Park Preparatorys Early Childhood Program’s primary focus is the growth and well being
of the child. We provide this best by having
a warm, open, nurturing atmosphere that is conducive to learning at an early age. Our teachers are at the core of this philosophy.
Our school is a place where children ages 2-6 can develop self-confidence and build a commitment to learning. The children take part in discovery-based activities that are developmentally appropriate. LPP provides a healthy balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities, while limiting the amount of time spent in a large group. We believe that through play, children experience the joy of discovery for themselves. Children are also encouraged to build upon problem solving skills, as well as their creativity and socialization skills with other children. Our teachers take into account the individuality of each child. Activities that are stimulating to the childs imagination and creative development can then be provided. We believe that communication between the teachers and parents is a vital part of providing a quality program and strengthens the learning process.
LPPs teachers are carefully screened and interviewed to ensure that they meet our education requirements, while possessing the personal qualities necessary for an early childhood program. Our teachers have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Education (or a related field), experience working with children, and caring and enthusiastic personalities.
LPP is a place where a childs happiness is our highest priority. When a child is ready to depart LPP to continue her education, she will take with her a positive concept of school, a love for learning, and a highly developed self-confidence that is crucial in further education.
