MNA New Birth Headstart

Marcy-Newberry Associations EHS program provides child care for infants and toddlers between the ages of 0 and 3 years, in licensed day care homes. We service children Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The EHS program began in February of 1999. The program was designed to assist parents who work or attend school. This program helps bridge the gap created by the Welfare Reform Act by enabling parents to afford the cost of child care. Each parent pays a co-payment which is derived from a sliding scale, based on the parents income, number of persons in the family, and the number of children in the program.

Marcy-Newberrys EHS program has twenty-five (25) funded slots. Currently, we have active, licensed home day care providers and additional providers awaiting slots.

The EHS program is a great program which empowers parents to reach their fullest potential, which helps to create positive role models in our community. Our program provides children with a safe, nourishing and educational place to stay, while their parents go to work and/or attend school.
