Cheviot Elementary Preschool

Fast Facts:

• Cheviot has approximately 600 students. We are big enough to provide a variety of educational experiences for students but not so big that the children get lost in the crowd.
• Cheviot teaches preschoolers through eighth graders. Many of our students have been here for years and are part of the fabric of our school’s community.
• Cheviot has over 35 teachers on staff. This helps us to keep our class sizes small.
• Cheviot has over a dozen instructor assistants on staff. These assistants help teachers provide small-group instruction enabling them to tailor instruction to individual student needs.
• Cheviot has full-time art music and physical education instructors as well as a part-time technology instructor.These teachers provide many enriching experiences for our students including “Art Nights” musical performances and physical education programs such as Jump Rope for Heart.
• Cheviot has eight intervention specialists and a full-time psychologist on staff. We are able to provide many services for students with special needs.
• Beech Acres Parenting Center has an office at Cheviot. This center provides additional therapy and support for students and families in need.
• Cheviot is committed to educating ALL of its students EVERY day. School begins at 9:15 a.m. and dismisses at 3:45 p.m.
