LTP’s curriculum provides children opportunities to learn in an environment that incorporates dvelopmentally appropriate materials and activities. Children’s social/emotional physical cognitive and language growth are the focus of group activities and interest centers. The curriculum will include hands-on activities to challenge the children to experience and explore their surroundings as they learn to develop their large and fine motor skills to interact with each other to express themselves to think on their own and to be creative in their work and play.
Literacy math science social studies and the arts are explored in a variety of age-appropriate experiences.
Flexible activities allow children to learn and grow at their own pace. The overall goals of the curriculum are that the children will know they are special that they can learn more about whom they are and that learning is fun and never-ending.
Spiritually we present Christian values and introduce children to stories of Christianity as well as stories of other faiths and traditions.
The classroom activities are based on FUMCM’s philosophy and goals utilizing The Creative Curriculum as a basis.
