Knollwood Elementary Preschool

Knollwood Elementary School Preschool, built in 1955, is Pre-K through Fifth grade and is located in south DeKalb County near the city of Decatur. Our dedicated and collegial staff works hard to enhance the academic potential of all students. Fifty percent of our staff has over 10 years of experience.

Unique Assets :

• Students use the Accelerated Reader, a computerized reading incentive program,
• Parental involvement is enhanced by the assistance of the Communities in Schools program.
• Knollwood is a schoolwide Title 1 school, which results in increased funding for equipment for students and teachers.
• Students may participate in a number of clubs and activities including: Reading Bowl, Spelling Bee, BETA Club, bird club, tutoring, band, chorus, and strings.
• Extended day support through afterschool program and Scana Tutorial are available.
