Little Friends Learning Center originally called Little Friends Kindergarten was established in 1953 by the First Baptist Church as a community service. It is a non-profit ministry of the church open to all children.

Philosophy of childcare is a combination of child growth and development. I believe that each child is unique and special. In my opinion childcare should be more than just a fun place to play. I believe that a child possesses such great creative potential. They are naturally curious and they benefit most when given the opportunity to experiment discover dream imagine and express their original ideas.
I feel that if we put God first He will guide us as parents teachers and administrators never to play the roll of critic. We are the child’s promoters. I feel we should be devoted to transcending mere Christian and custodial care for the children by providing a developmentally appropriate and professionally planned educational and recreational program thereby meeting the needs of the community.
