Meeting the Needs of the Pre-School Child for Over 35 Years!

Curriculum

Our integrated curriculum provides experiences in nine different areas to help develop important academic, physical, social and spiritual skills:

Language and Literacy: developing a love of language, reading, and writing

Math: developing an understanding of basic math concepts

Science: developing the skills of discovery and experimentation

Community Awareness: learning about our homes, communities, and cultures

Physical Development: developing fine motor control and physical activities

Health and Safety: practicing good hygiene habits, nutrition, and safety

Social and Emotional: learning positive interactive skills, self-confidence, and expression of feelings

Visual and Performing Arts: expression through movement, music, dramatic play and art materials

Bible/Spiritual: learning spiritual concepts through Bible stories and verses

Learning Centers

Our learning-center approach allows children to work at their own rate of development while they interact with other children in small groups. Learning centers are designated classroom areas where children practice new skills, solve problems, use expressive language and interact with the learning materials provided.

Communication

We seek to make connections with our parents as our partners in learning through:

Daily Folders school information and childs work is sent home daily

Teacher Contact teachers provide email and phone contact information as well as personal contact each school day

Monthly Newsletters provide information about class events and learning themes

Email Updates important school information communicated through email updates

Bulletin Boards posted class information and daily lesson plans

Written Reviews provided in October to provide information about the childs adjustment to school

Parent/Teacher Conferences individual meetings with parents to discuss the childs progress
