Discovery Montessori School

In the Montessori environment the teacher observes and guides the children to work, offering avenues of exploration and discovery in the form of individual and group presentations. The children then learn to initiate their own work.

Individual goals are determined by the needs of each child. Emphasis is placed on the development of independence, responsibility and self-awareness. Key concepts that are emphasized are respect for self, respect for others and respect for the environment.

Elementary Curriculum provides an interdisciplinary approach:

• Singapore language, math, and science curriculum
• United States history and World history study
• Cultural Art and Music appreciation
• Community Service Learning
