Our philosophy at Monarch Montessori School is to provide a unique and positive alternative to traditional schools, both public and private, in the Elk River area. Our program provides a creative, adaptive environment that responds to the needs of the children. We seek to balance academic and social development to foster responsibility and cooperation within a supportive learning community. The children, the parents, and the staff communicate clearly and openly, and treat each other with honesty and mutual respect.
Monarch Montessori School will employ the philosophy and materials of Maria Montessori to provide an educational experience of a lifetime. We will maintain a Christain atmosphere, with a non-denominational prayer at mealtime. We will discuss Christain holidays, along with the stories at an appropriate level for the age group. Holiday stories will be kept non-denominational and basic.
