At Montessori School of Evergreen (MSE), we pride ourselves on providing an unparalleled education to our students: dynamic, innovative, and mission-driven. Its what fuels the faculty and staff each day. This endeavor makes Montessori School of Evergreen a unique institution, and one that I am honored to lead.
That academic excellence can be achieved through innovation defines the MSE experience. By nurturing a childs innate curiosity, our school empowers students to make choices in an environment that promotes accountability and responsibility. Our talented and caring teachers truly know each child and foster his strengths while encouraging him to investigate his passions. Well-developed critical thinking, the ability to conduct original research, exemplary oral and written communication, intrinsic motivation, and budding leadership skills are the result of an MSE education.
However, advanced intellectual development is only one component of MSE. Our students also participate in a diverse selection of opportunities that build creativity, social cognition, and character. Beginning with the Extended Day night hike, continuing with Elementary overnights, and culminating in Middle School hut trips, weeklong adventures, and their work with the Global Citizenship Action Project in New York, we create meaningful learning opportunities that engage the academic, artistic, athletic, emotional, and psychosocial aspects of every student.

Our program is based on the Montessori philosophy, which has successfully educated children for over a century. A recent article by the Harvard Business Review investigated the way in which top American innovators and entrepreneurs think. Researchers found that inquisitiveness was one of the top predictors of entrepreneurial prowess. Interestingly enough, they found that many successful entrepreneurs, such as the founders of Amazon and Google, were educated in Montessori schools where they were encouraged to develop their curious minds.
